Medical providers and their assistants had a great need to have a calendar inside of MeMo that gave a provider a view of their future and past appointments and equally important; the type of patient (hormone replacement, erectile dysfunction or weight loss) they were to meet with for patient calendar events.
After understanding the needs of the providers and assistants, I began to work out various useful views of calendars that can be swapped in the interface via the click of a button. This solution was meant to provide solutions for most providers who may like different views of the same data (i.e. Month view, versus daily, versus weekly, etc.).
We made sure to provide the name of the patient in the calendar event where a meeting with a patient would take place, along with their unique patient ID to cover scenarios where two or more of a provider's patients had the same name (i.e. John Smith). This allowed the provider to know which patient they were looking at with confidence. The addition of the patient type was added as a tag or tags (for a patient with multiple treatment types) also so that the provider would not have to leave the view to gather that bit of information. For those providers who prefer the week view, I made sure to bake in an indicator to show them the current time of day their view was at.
